Personal data processed

• Identity and contact: name, username, email.
• Customer transactions: EDIs (photo, place, date, rating, review, private note), trips, places you want to go, reports, stats.
• Location: the photo's EXIF location, the device location at an in-app capture, an optional one-time current location.
• Visual records: EDI photos.
• Transaction security: password hash, session and device information, notification token, verification signals, a short-lived one-way hash of the IP address.
• Usage: usage events that do not target individuals (no search text, no location).
• Beta list: if you fill in the form on the website, your email, language, and the version and time of your consent.

Purposes

Managing membership and your account; storing and showing EDIs; verifying that visits are real and preventing fraud; providing discovery, recommendation and personal map services; ensuring information security; answering rights requests and fulfilling legal obligations.

Legal grounds

• Directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract (KVKK Art. 5/2-c): account, EDI, map, trip and recommendation services.
• The controller's legitimate interest (Art. 5/2-f): visit verification, preventing fraud and abuse, information security, aggregate usage counts.
• Legal obligation (Art. 5/2-ç) and the establishment, exercise or protection of a right (Art. 5/2-e).
• Explicit consent (Art. 5/1): joining the beta list and receiving the beta invitation.

Method of collection

Personal data is collected electronically through the app, from the information you enter, the photos you upload and, to the extent you allow, your device's location service. Beta list data is collected through the form on venividiedi.app.

Transfers

To provide the service, data is transferred to the United States, where our servers are located, and to our service providers: Cloudflare (photo storage and network), Resend (email), Google and Apple (if you sign in with them, and for delivering notifications if you allow them). Transfers abroad follow the procedures in KVKK Art. 9. Public EDI content is shared with other users; private notes, location, EXIF data and verification scores are not.

Retention

Raw location and EXIF data and original photos are kept for at most 90 days; when an account is deleted its data is deleted within 30 days; backups are kept for at most 6 months. A beta list record is kept for at most 12 months.

Your rights under KVKK Art. 11

You have the right to learn whether your personal data is processed and to request information about it, to learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly, to know the third parties it is transferred to, to request correction if it is incomplete or wrong, to request its deletion or destruction under KVKK Art. 7 and notification of these actions to third parties it was transferred to, to object to a result against you arising solely from automated analysis, and to claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

Send your requests by email to [email protected]; they are answered free of charge within 30 days. You can also get a copy of your data yourself in the app via Settings → Download my data and delete it via Settings → Delete account.
